Obituary of Dora Couture

COUTURE: Dora. A resident of Grande Pointe, Dora Couture, passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at the age of 84. Born in Pain Court, daughter of the late John and Delia Couture. Cherished wife for 66 years to Harvey J. Couture. Loving mother to Joanne and Paul Cadotte of Lakeshore, Angela and Joel Shepherd of Grande Pointe, and Diana and Ron Sterling of Pain Court. Forever missed by her grandchildren Chantal Paquette (Patrick), David Cadotte (Anna), Kevin Pawlak (Brie), Shawn Pawlak (Heidi), Daniel Sterling, Christopher Sterling. Great-grandmother to Justin, Nicolas, and Natalie Paquette. Sister of Loretta Damphousse, Dorothy and Rene Sauve, Gerard Couture, and the late Adelard Couture, Herman and Madeline Couture, Arsene and Reta Couture, Ernest and Elmira Couture, Florence and Hector Ouellette, and Annette and Don Howe. Sister-in-law of Aldia Couture, Loretta Demers, Jeannette Trahan, Charles Couture, Rita Couture, Cecile and Arthur Campeau, and the late Syl Trahan, Orville Cartier, Eddie Damphousse, and Godelieve Couture. Dora was a former parishioner of St. Philippe’s Roman Catholic Church and presently a member of Immaculée Conception. She was a member of the Grande Pointe Senior Card Club. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Parish prayers at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculée Conception Catholic Church, Pain Court on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr.
