Obituary of Evelyn Anne Muir

MUIR: Evelyn Anne – A resident of Blenheim, Evelyn Muir passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at the age of 94. Born in Harwich Township, Evelyn was the daughter of the late Reginald and Annie (Pilbeam) Warriner. Beloved wife of the late Donald Burke and the late William Muir. Loving mother of Carole (Burke) and John Matt of Nanoose Bay, B.C., Donald A. and Pat Burke of Providence Bay, ON, John A. and Laurie Burke of Turner Valley, AB, and Janice (Burke) and Grant Barber of Potomac, MD, USA. Dear stepmother to Susan (Muir) and Bill Lamont of Dutton and Margaret (Muir) John Peart of Dutton. Proud grandmother to 13 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 6 great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Margaret (Warriner) and David Baldwin. Survived by her sister-in-law Evelyn Warriner. Predeceased by her brother Gordon Warriner. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Evelyn was a member of Fourth Line United Church, and later a member of the Blenheim United Church. She was also a member of the Blenheim Randolph Churchill Chapter of the I.O.D.E. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Friday from 7:00 – 9:00p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2012. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim. Donations made in memory of Evelyn to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
