Obituary of Reginald Grist 'Reg' Burk

BURK: Reginald Grist “Reg” - A resident of R.R. #2 Ridgetown, Reg Burk passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at the age of 86. Born in Raleigh Township, Reg was the son of the late Harold and Mary (Grist) Burk. Beloved husband of 56 years to Betty Ruth (Irwin) Burk. Loving father of Stewart Burk (Renée) of St. Clair Beach, Myrna (Burk) Jenken of London and Robert Burk (Lisa) of Toronto. Proud grandfather of Andrea Cardiff, Mandy Bristow (Sean), Brian Burk, Julia Loft (Mark), Jaela Van Bommel (Kevin), Madison Burk and Carson Burk. Great-grandfather to Jakob, Joelene, Jesse, Justin, Tyler and Nicholas. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Reg was a member of both the Howard Masonic Lodge #391 A.F. & A.M and the Order of the Eastern Star, Mecca Chapter #58 for over 64 years and a member of the Scottish Rite for over 35 years. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street E., Ridgetown on Monday from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Masonic Lodge Service will be held Monday at 6:45 p.m. and an Order of the Eastern Star Service will follow. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 with Rev. Paul Shaw and Rev. Al McIntyre officiating. Interment to follow at Botany Cemetery.
