Obituary of Murray Lister

LISTER: Murray Lyle. A resident of Blenheim, Murray Lister passed away at the Blenheim Community Village on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the age of 83. Born in Raleigh Township, son of the late Christopher and Anne (Huffman) Lister. Beloved husband of the late Ella (Klassen) Lister (1971), and the late Reida (Eltervoog) Lister (2010). Dear father of Diane Nussey of Toronto, Linda Tope and her husband Wayne of London, Lori TeWinkel and her husband Derk of Blenheim, Bradley Lister and his wife Susan of London, and Brent Lister and his wife Sandy of Tecumseh. Grandfather of Kyler, Erin, Paul, Katie, Jenny, Alex, and Curtis. Great-grandfather of Carlie, Theodore, and Kyler Jr. Brother of Laverne and Florence Lister of Warren, Michigan, Kenneth Lister (late wife Marian) of Cedar Springs, and Joyce and Charles Judson of Guelph. Murray was a power linesman and line supervisor with Ontario Hydro and Blenheim P.U.C. for 44 years. He was a volunteer fireman with the Blenheim Harwich Fire Department for 28 years. Murray was a member of Blenheim Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School Teacher, Secretary-Treasurer, Church Usher, Deacon, Trustee, Financial Secretary and member of the Finance Committee. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Tuesday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. A Family Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 with interment in Craford Cemetery.
