Obituary of Florence Slade

SLADE; Florence Cornelia; A resident of RR#6 Merlin and formerly of Chatham, Florence Slade (nee Israels), suddenly passed away at her residence on Monday, December 31, 2012 at the age of 68. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late John & Gusena Israels. Loving wife for 47 years to Charlie Slade. Mother to Christopher Slade (Mihala) of Windsor, Kimberley Grant (Martin Traynor) of Mississauga. Forever missed by her grandchildren Mary and Annabelle Grant. Survived by her siblings Effie Holthof (George) of Chatham, Richard Israels (Judy) of Brucefield, ON, Joan Greydanus (Gerald) of Chatham, Rita Ramsdale (Howard) of Charing Cross, Julianna Crowe (Don) of Wallaceburg, and sister-in-law Beatrice Ross (Neil) of Windsor. Predeceased by her brother George Israels, and her extended family Audrey & Bert Reeve. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Visitation will also take place at the Salvation Army-Chatham Citadel, 46 Orangewood Blvd. on Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. with Captain Andrew Watkinson officiating.
