Obituary of Eva Mae Gammage

GAMMAGE: Eva Mae (nee Pickering) A resident of Ridgetown and formerly of Blenheim, Eva passed away at her home on Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at the age of 83. Born in Chatham, daughter of the late Guy and Pearle (Want) Pickering. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Gammage (1983) and loving companion of the late Leigh Atkinson (2003). Loving mother of Janet and Edwin Horton of Ridgetown, Stan and Deb of Wallaceburg, Terry and friend Joy of Ridgetown, Diane Soper and Al of Vienna, Steve and friend Teresa of Tillsonburg, Linda Winter and John of Thamesville, Paul and Liana of Ridgetown and her late son Mark (2007). Also missed by her dear friend Martha of Ridgetown. Loving grandmother of 22, great-grandmother of 26 and great-great-grandmother of 1. Sister of Helen McNear of Blenheim and Marg Mills of Chatham. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters Jean Burchiel, Bryce Pickering, Doris Bennet and Guy Jr. Eva was a Life Member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #243 Ladies Auxiliary in Ridgetown and was a member of the Church of the Advent in Ridgetown. Eva worked at the Ridgetown Golf & Curling Club for over 30 years. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street E., Ridgetown on Friday, January 18, 2013 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Legion Auxiliary Service will be held on Friday at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2013. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown.
