Obituary of Brent Lane Lawson

LAWSON – Brent Lane of Highgate, age 59 years, passed away on Monday December 31, 2012 at the London Health Sciences Centre University Hospital, ON. Brent will be laid to rest next to his parents, Doug and Arlyne Lawson of Swift Current, Saskatchewan. He leaves to mourn his wife of 32 years, Nadia (the rock of the family) and their children Marlin, Kyle and Jordon. He also leaves behind several grandkids to carry on his legacy of piercing wit: Cody, Alexis, Chloe-Lynn, Laine and Sloane. Also sharing in this loss is his wonderful sister Tazma, her husband Warren Beach and their children Dayton, Brock and Palmer. He also leaves behind uncle Bryan Towne of Halbrite. Brent was a man of few words, but what he did say was always well thought out and to the point, a trait that defined him and continues to flourish in his three sons. He fought a brave battle against the beast of cancer and his personality and strength were with him until the very end. Now he is in a much better place: sitting around a kitchen table with old friends and family, having some drinks and sharing some hard laughs. If you had the pleasure to know Brent, you can bet your butt that he’ll welcome you around his table when the time comes… but only if you bring your own drinks. Life and love go on. We will all meet again.
