KENNEY: James Joseph “Jim” – A resident of Ridgetown, Jim Kenney passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus with his family at his side on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the age of 52. Much loved son of Leo and Mary (Maynard) Knoblauch. Beloved husband of Janice Veldman. Loving father of Terena, Keith, Tyler, Lindsey, Shaina and Colton. Proud grandfather of Hayley, Hayden, Tomara, Jayke, Emmett, Darren, Cody, Devin, Douglas, Cameron, Keira and Talia. Dear brother to Cindy (David) Remington of Blenheim, Patty (Patrick) Shea of North Buxton, Karl (Jamie) Knoblauch of Chatham, Allan (Sheila) Knoblauch of Blenheim, Phillip (Anita) Knoblauch of Windsor and Christopher (Crystal) Knoblauch of Chatham. Predeceased by his brother Mark Maynard (2010). Dearly missed by his best friend and winger Brad Knoblauch. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Jim retired from the Navy as a Petty Officer, First Class after 20 years of service. He then worked as a supervisor at Mallory’s in Blenheim for 6 years. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street E., Ridgetown on Monday from 2:00 – 4:00p.m. & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Legion Service will be held on Monday at 7:00p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00a.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Cremation to follow. Donations made in memory of Jim to the Windsor & Essex County Cancer Centre - Patient Assistance Fund would be appreciated.
