Obituary of Joseph Cammaert

CAMMAERT: Joseph Augustin – Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at the age of 73. Joe was born in Holland, and as a young boy emigrated to Canada with his late parents, John Cammaert and Rosalie Shelfout. Beloved husband of 47 years to Vera (nee Van Rycheghem). Loving father of Tanya Cammaert and Jessica Cammaert , both of R.R. # 2 Merlin. Dear brother to Willy Cammaert (late Anna) and the late Roger Cammaert. Brother-in-law to Yvette. Nephew of Willy and Ria Shelfout of Hulst, Holland. Joe retired from Navistar as the Health and Safety Rep after more than 30 years of service. He was a dedicated farmer, avid fisherman, ham radio operator, car enthusiast and a lifelong member of the K.B.D. Archery Club. He will be missed by many. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Monday, February 18, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Private Funeral Service will be held at a later date.
