Obituary of Peter Joseph James Davidson

Davidson, Peter Joseph James, a resident of Ridgetown. Peter Davidson passed away Thursday February 28, 2013 after a long and hard fought battle with cancer at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus at the age of 62. Born in Hamilton, son of the late John & Margaret (Atkins) Davidson. Leaving behind his loving wife of 34 years, Cindy (Chrons) Davidson. Dear father of Kari; Michael & Zoya. Grandfather of much loved grandson Damien. He will also be greatly missed by his brother John, Judy & Natashia & Dennis. Before settling in Ridgetown in 1995, Peter lived a broad & varied life. Educated at St. Andrew’s College, Aurora & Leighton Park in Reading, England, after which he served with the Royal Green Jacket Regiment of the British Army. Upon his return to Canada he started at the bottom with Viking Pumps, quickly progressing to International Sales Manager. During these years he and Cindy travelled the world extensively. In his late years golf was his passion and he spent many hours at the Ridgetown Golf Club where he served on the Board of Directors for many years and gained many new friends. He was also very active in the local AA chapters and had worked with the Investors Group, as well as being President of IMI. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Peter to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
