Obituary of Joyce Gallagher

GALLAGHER, Joyce A resident of Chatham and formerly of St. Thomas and Brantford, Joyce Gallagher, passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Friday, March 15, 2013 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus in her 86th year. Born in St. Thomas, daughter of the late Edward & Elizabeth Verrell. Beloved wife of Ernie Gallagher for 65 years. Loving mother to Paula & David Brown of Ottawa, Cheryl & Bill Crow of Chatham, Wynn Gallagher of Port Coquitlam, B.C., Gregory & Mary Gallagher of Brampton, and Stephen & Sheryl Gallagher of Chatham. Grandmother to Shelly & Darren Love, Andrew & Tara Crow, Paul Crow, Christopher & Amber Gallagher, Matthew, Amanda, Jeremy, and Loren Gallagher. Great-grandmother to Ashley, Emily, Sadie, and Kellen. Remembered by her brother Ken Verrell of St. Thomas. Joyce was a member of the Louisville Baptist Church, and loved cooking and sewing. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday from 3:00-5:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
