Obituary of Athene Goff

GOFF: Athene (nee Robinson) – A resident of Charing Cross, Athene Goff passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the age of 84. Born in Howard Township, Athene was the daughter of the late Ernest and Irene (Osborne) Robinson. Beloved wife of the late Harold Goff (1981). Loving mother of Jim Goff of Blenheim, Dave Goff (Linda) of Chatham, Steve Goff of Charing Cross and Les Goff of Charing Cross. Predeceased by her son Michael Goff (2012), infant son Bobby and infant daughter Marie. Proud grandmother of Rob Goff and Eddie Goff, both of Delhi. Great-grandmother to Dominic. Dear sister to Ron Robinson (Carol) of Sarnia, Jean Fonger of Blenheim, Shirley Driscol of Lumby, B.C., Harold Robinson of Chatham and Bonnie Rumley (Carm) of Woodstock. Predeceased by her siblings Eileen, Tom, Howard, John, Carm, Carl, Carol and Douglas. Also missed by many nieces, nephews and her loyal schnauzer Susie. Athene was an active member of the Charing Cross United Church. She had a passion for cooking, and her family thoroughly enjoyed her home cooking. She was also a talented quilter. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Monday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 with Rev. Dr. Margaret Trapnell officiating. Interment to follow at Trinity Anglican Cemetery.
