Ball, William Arthur, a resident of Chatham. William (Bill) Ball passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Thursday April 11, 2013 at the age of 86. Born in Chatham, son of the late James & Hazel (Ellis) Ball. Beloved husband for 60 years to Theresa B. (Krieger) Ball. Dear father of Dennis & Ellen Ball, Chatham and Dianne & Dave Strain, Chatham. Grandfather of Brandon (Jenelle) Ball; Darren (Amy) Ball; Danielle (Chris) Smith & Derek Strain. Great Grandfather of Hayden, Harlowe & Emmersyn Smith and Madelyn Ball. Brother of Lyle (Ruth) Ball, Chatham; Donna Blonde, Chatham; J.R. (Marg) Ball, London; Elaine (Dick) Ross, MitchellÂ’s Bay; and the late Jean Willson; Murray Ball & Marjorie Skipper. Also survived by sister-in-law Yvonne Ball, Mitchell's Bay and several nieces & nephews. Bill was a former service manager & sales representative for International Harvester, Farm Machinery Division for many years; a member of Knights of Columbus Council #1412 and he enjoyed fishing. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, Monday April 15, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. Knights of Columbus Prayers will be offered Monday at 6:45 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Daniel Bombardier celebrant. Interment St. Anthony Cemetery, Chatham. Donations in memory of Bill to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or the CKHA-Cardiac Monitoring System Campaign would be appreciated.
