Obituary of David Piggott

PIGGOTT: David J. After a courageous battle with cancer, David James Piggott passed peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday April 17, 2013 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. He was born in Chatham, 65 years ago on July 8, 1947. Loving partner of Wendy Christianson, who wonderfully cared for him during his illness. Cherished “Daddy” of Karen Piggott of Edmonton and Leslie van As Piggott & her husband Maarten of The Netherlands, and proud Grandpa of Eva van As. Dear brother of Sharlet Piggott & her spouse Jerry Campbell of Chatham. David will be lovingly remembered by Wendy’s daughter Amber, her husband Jeff Bourdeau, and their son Liam. He considered them family. He loved Lake Erie, and will be fondly remembered by Dave and Ralph, his best friends from Erieau. Special thanks to the Nursing staff at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for the care and kindness they provided. In keeping with David’s wishes, there will be no formal ceremony.
