Obituary of Francis Joseph Rousseau

ROUSSEAU: Francis Joseph – A resident of R.R. # 1 Ridgetown, Francis Rousseau passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus with his family at his side on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the age of 82. Born in Anderdon Township, Essex County, Francis was the son of the late Ferdinand and Mary B. Rousseau. Beloved husband of 20 years to Louise Boles-Rousseau. Predeceased by his first wife Helena (Bulckaert) (1984). Dear father to Larry Rousseau, Sharon Mason and Bob Rousseau. Predeceased by his daughter-in-law Linda (2012). Step-father to Virginia Eade (Fred), Sally Carter (Jim), Angela Burke (Geoff) and Samantha Steel (Mike). Loving grandfather of Larry, Greg, Virginia, Bryon, Kara, Chantel, Chelsea, Nicholas, Nathaniel, Christina, Matthew, Rachel, Eric, Patsy, Patrick, Emily, Spencer, Sean and Sarah. Great-grandfather to Max, Rowan, Cole and Conner. Brother to Isabelle Bastien (Jim), Nora Callingham (late Don) and Wilfred Rousseau (Jackie). Predeceased by his siblings, Ted, Madeline and John. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Francis was a member of St. Michael’s Parish, and was a 3rd Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street E., Ridgetown on Friday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00p.m. Vigil Prayers will be held Friday at 7:00 p.m. and Knights of Columbus Prayers at 7:15 p.m.A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at St. Michael’s Church, 26 George Street, Ridgetown with Fr. Martin Johnston celebrant. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim. Donations may be made in memory of Francis to St Michael’s Restoration Fund, Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
