VanderGriendt: Agnes (Aggie) – A resident of Ridgetown, Aggie VanderGriendt passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 20, 2013. Born in Howard Township, Aggie was the daughter of late Henry and Helen (Thiesen) VanderGriendt. Predeceased by her sister Deanna Timmermans (1998) and infant brother Bobby (1961). Dear sister to Anne (Fred) Stallaert, Komoka; Liz McDonald, Ridgetown; Frank (Charlene) VanderGriendt, Waterloo; Henry (Kathy) VanderGriendt, Ridgetown; Jim (Corinne) VanderGriendt, Edmonton, Alberta; Tony (Sherry) VanderGriendt, Lethbridge, Alberta; Ben (Pat) VanderGriendt, Ridgetown; Wilma (Mike) Hay, Ridgetown; and Lucy (Jeff) Brown, London. Sister-in-law to Leo (Jill) Timmermans. Much loved aunt of Dave (Dawn) Timmermans; Jeff (Terri-Lynn) Timmermans; Greg (Katie) Timmermans; Darrin Timmermans; Sarah (Shane) Webster; Scott (Sylvia) Stallaert; Adam (Jessica) Stallaert; Mike (Michelle) McDonald; Curtis (Laura) VanderGriendt; Lauren (Alex) McDougall; Paul VanderGriendt; Mark (SheaLynn) VanderGriendt; Lindsay (James) Vandersluis; Christy (Brad) Lougheed; Jill (Graeme) Lawrence; Jesse (Shannon) Ramos; John (Andrea) Ramos; Manna (James) Middleton; Kristen VanderGriendt; Michelle (Kyle) Charlton; Brianna VanderGriendt; Aaron Brown (Marina); Woody Brown and Keith Brown. Great-aunt to many great-nieces and great-nephews. Also missed by several aunts, uncles, friends and extended family. Aggie was a caring person, which she demonstrated through her work at the Southwest Regional Centre, where she was employed for 30 years. After her retirement, Aggie dedicated herself to compassionately caring for her parents, much to the admiration of all. She was known for her handcrafted cards, crocheting and baking, particularly her scones and the ever famous peanut butter balls. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street E., Ridgetown on Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Ridgetown at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 24, 2013. Cremation to follow. Donations made in memory of Aggie to the Deanna Timmermans Memorial Scholarship Fund or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
