Obituary of Margaret C. Crawford

CRAWFORD: Margaret C. – A resident of Blenheim, and formerly of Toronto, Margaret Crawford passed away with her family at her side on Monday, July 1, 2013 at the age of 85. Born in Harwich Township, Margaret was the daughter of the late Cecil and Golda (Allison) Crawford. Predeceased by her brother Thomas Crawford (1984) and her sister-in-law Judith Crawford (2010). Loving aunt of Cathy Crawford of Chatham and Michael Crawford of Windsor. Margaret taught in Toronto and spent some time teaching in France. She was very active in the Black Historical Society and the Community History Project, particularly the Toll Keeper’s Cottage. A Private family interment for Margaret will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Blenheim. A celebration of Margaret’s life will be held in Toronto at a later date. Donations made in memory of Margaret to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
