Obituary of Marie Vanheste

VANHESTE, Mary A resident of Dover Centre, Mary Vanheste, passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at the age of 80. Born in France, Mary immigrated to Canada from Belgium with her husband and two children in 1956. Beloved wife for 62 years to Adrien Vanheste. Loving mother to Nicole (Nikki) & Eric Carr, Willy & Donna Vanheste, Linda & Ken McFadden, Rita & Fern Godreau, Diane & Guil Godreau. Forever missed by her 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is survived by 1 sister and 2 brothers in Belgium, and predeceased by 2 sisters and 1 brother. She was a long time member of the Canadian Belgium Dutch Club in Chatham and Wallaceburg. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Mary Vanheste to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
