Obituary of Donna Gosnell

GOSNELL: Donna (McPhail) . A resident of Orford Township, Donna Gosnell passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Friday, August 9, 2013. Born in Highgate, daughter of the late Stanley W. and Marion (Smith) McPhail. Loving wife of Lloyd E. (Ted) Gosnell for 55 years. Dear mother of Cheryl Van Der Aa and her husband Marcel of London. Sister of Marlene Trees of Bellevue, WA and her late husband Jim, Audrey McPhail of Highgate, and predeceased by sister Dorothy Cove formerly of Chatham. Also survived by brother and sister-in-law Max and Jean Gosnell of Ridgetown. Predeceased by sister-in-law Muriel Field, brother and sister-in-law Jack and Marion Gosnell. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Donna graduated from the Public General Hospital as a Registered Nurse, class of 1956, and worked for many years in health care. Donna was a member of the former Highgate United Church. She had a good sense of humour and enjoyed life. As per Donna’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Private family interment in Gosnell Cemetery at a later date. Donations to the Foundation of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Howard Mutual Foundation (Medical Centre), A.L.S. Society of Ontario (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) or the charity of choice.
