Obituary of H. Arthur Sanborn

SANBORN: H. Arthur (Art). A resident of R.R.#3 Ridgetown and formerly of the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Art Sanborn passed away at home on Saturday, August 10, 2013 at the age of 81. Born in Sweetsburg, Quebec, son of the late Harold Arthur and Florence (Rollins) Sanborn. Beloved husband of Beverley (Greene) Sanborn, having recently celebrated their 60th Anniversary together in April. Dear father of Sue McLarty and her husband Ken of R.R.#3 Ridgetown, and the late Donna Sanborn (1996). Grandfather of Mary Ellen (Elly) McLarty, Patrick McLarty and his wife Sabina, Timothy McLarty, Paul Jolicoeur, and Julie Jolicoeur. Brother of John Sanborn of Edmonton, Deanna and Heinz Irriger of Montana, Lois and Frank Stanbridge of Toronto, the late Jesse Chevrefils and her husband Andy of Rawdon, PQ . Brother-in-law of Maureen and Tom Kilbride of Knowlton, PQ, and Carol and Brian Greene of Knowlton, PQ. Art retired from Bell Canada in 1982. He also operated a carriage shop, and enjoyed spending the winters in Arizona. He was also an avid golfer and putterer. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Friday, August 16, 2013 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Memorial Service to immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. Cremation with interment in Knowlton, PQ at a later date.
