Obituary of Betty Massender

MASSENDER: Betty (nee McEachran)- A resident of Blenheim, Betty Massender passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus with her family at her side on Friday, October 11, 2013 in her 78th year. Born in Chatham, Betty was the daughter of the late Reginald and Alice (Reid) McEachran. Predeceased by Doug Massender, Murray Colquhoun and Bill Thompson. Loving mother of Debbie Kostantos (Roland) of Geneva, Switzerland, Brian Massender (Mary Beth Speller) of Blenheim, Mark Massender of Blenheim, Wendy Massender (Mark Bennett) of Owen Sound and Jeff Massender (Tracy) of Blenheim. Proud grandmother Sarah, James, Anna, Kody, Kelsey, Erin, McKenna and Cole. Dear sister to Vera Robertson, Marjorie Alpaugh (Jack), Marilyn St. Pierre (Doug), Johnny Steen and Greg Steen (Diane). Predeceased by her four brothers and two sisters, Lloyd, Leonard, Fred, Wayne, June Manninger and Loraine Weaver. Sister-in-law to Marion McEachran, Mary Ann Clark, Bernice McEachran, Rita McEachran, Joe Manninger, and the late Doc Robertson, Mary Lou McEachran, and Bill Holden. Sadly missed by many, many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. With respect to Betty’s wishes, there will be no Funeral Service. A Graveside Service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Blenheim at 11:00a.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 with Rev. Wanda Burse officiating. A reception will follow at the Blenheim Golf Club.
