Obituary of Garnet Bernard Pelkey

Pelkey, Garnet Bernard, a resident of Chatham and formerly Pain Court. Garnet Pelkey died Saturday October 19, 2013 at the Copper Terrace Long Term Care Facility, Chatham at the age of 86. Born in Chatham, Ontario, son of the late Fred & Hazel Agnes (Bezaire) Pelkey. Beloved husband of the late Mary Della (Tetreault) Pelkey. Dear father of Brian & Patricia Pelkey, Chatham; Bruce & Yvonne Pelkey, Grande Pointe; Brady Pelkey, Chatham and the late Louis Pelkey (1953). Missed by his 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Brother of Jean & Jerry Caron, Windsor and the late Joyce Raspburg. Garnet farmed in Pain Court for 27½ years and he enjoyed camping & fishing all over Ontario. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Monday October 21, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Michael Michon officiating. Interment in St. Philippe Cemetery, Grande Pointe. Donations in memory of Garnet to the Chatham Goodfellows would be appreciated.
