Obituary of Dorothy Gallaway

GALLAWAY, Dorothy (nee Evers) Peacefully, surrounded by her family on Thursday, October 31, 2013, at Copper Terrace Nursing Home, Chatham, Dorothy Gallaway passed away at the age of 83. Beloved wife of Jack Gallaway. Loving mother of Mae (Bill) Tacknyk, Ken (Lynne Anne) Gallaway, Herb (Rose) Gallaway, Gregg (Patricia) Gallaway, and Mary-Jean (Brian) Lunn. Cherished grandmother of 13, great-grandmother of 20 and great-great-grandmother of one. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. A special mother to Naren and Depa & family, Ivan (deceased), Robbie and Lisa. Predeceased by her parents, siblings, and one grandson. Family and friends will be received on Monday, November 4, 2013, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at MCKINLAY FUNERAL HOME, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham. Family and friends will also be received on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Sarnia. Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
