Obituary of Mary Gilbert

GILBERT: Mary Patricia. A resident of Meadow Park Long Term Care Residence, Chatham, Mary Gilbert passed away at Meadow Park on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the age of 86. Born in Windsor, Ontario, Mary was the daughter of the late Herbert and Ida (Richards) Todgham and the beloved wife for 60 years of the late Eldon G. Gilbert (2010). She was also the loving mother of the late Dr. David Gilbert (2000) and his wife Kathi Gilbert (Robert Wilkinson), now of Wasaga Beach, as well as of Patricia Ann (William) Sykes of Blenheim. Mary will also be missed by her grandson Gregory Gilbert of Toronto, and her grand-daughter Jessica Sykes of Blenheim. She was the much loved sister of Herb Todgham (Irene) and the late Ron Todgham (Alice) of Windsor and Toronto. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Wednesday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. with The Rev. Jim Brown officiating. Cremation to follow. A private interment of the urn at Maple Leaf Cemetery will take place at a later date.
