Obituary of Ruby Dulcena Marlatt

MARLATT: Ruby Dulcena (nee McKean) – A resident of Blenheim, and formerly of Collingwood, Ruby Marlatt passed away at her residence on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at the age of 65. Born in Collingwood, Ruby was the daughter of the late Roy Edward and Ethel Dulcena (Ireton) McKean. Beloved wife of 43 years to Doug Marlatt. Loving mother of Scott Marlatt (Jenny) of Wasaga Beach and Mandy Marlatt (Chuck MacLennan) of Brampton. Proud grandmother of Hannah and Kaylee. Dear sister to Mervyn McKean (Bev) of Brampton. Dearly missed by her mother-in-law Jean Marlatt of Blenheim. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Ruby was passionate about genealogy and scrapbooking. She was talented with the computer, and she was fond of sewing and knitting. She worked as a Registered Nurse at both the Public General Hospital and St. Andrew’s Residence for many years. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 with Rev. Curtis Marwood officiating. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim. Donations made in memory of Ruby to the Arthritis Society would be appreciated by the family.
