Obituary of Patricia 'Pat' Christopher

CHRISTOPHER: Patricia “Pat” (nee Gignac) – A resident of Shrewsbury, and formerly of Cambridge, Pat passed peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus with her family at her side on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the age of 62. Born in Cambridge, Pat was the daughter of Angeline Ball (nee Godbout) and the late Jean-Marie Gignac. Much loved daughter-in-law of Pauline Cunning. Beloved wife of Al Cunning. Loving mother of Brandy Grumdstrom of Hamilton and Sherry Grumdstrom of Waterloo. Proud grandmother of Justyn, Raymond, Chelsea and Nicholas. Great-grandmother to Mariah. Dear sister to Richard Gignac, Pauline Gignac (late Stefan), Rachel Gignac (Jerry), Mark Gignac, Anita Reed (Kathleen) and the late Ivan Gignac. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. As per Pat’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Funeral Mass with be held at St Mary of the Visitation Parish, 16 Cooper Street, Cambridge (Hespeler) on Friday, December 20th, 2013 at 11:00a.m. with Fr. F. Freitas officiating. A reception will follow. It was Pat’s wish that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of her precious daughter Cindy and her beloved grandson Jordan (son of Sherry), to the Children’s Wish Foundation.
