Obituary of Derrick Verkaik

VERKAIK: Derrick. A resident of Chatham, Derrick Verkaik passed away on January 2, 2014. He was born in Chatham, 27 years ago, on January 25, 1986, beloved son of Rick & Shirley Verkaik of Chatham. Proud and loving father of Ava Grace Verkaik, and fondly remembered by her mom Jodie Spacil of Blenheim. Dear brother of Amber Verkaik of Chatham, and grandson of Eileen VanHumbeck & Lloyd Wright of Newbury. Derrick is predeceased by his grandfather Charles Van Humbeck, and grandparents John & Agnes Verkaik. He will always be remembered by his aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as extended family and friends. Derrick most loved his daughter Ava, his best friends, and last but not least, the games of pool and poker. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Monday January 6, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday January 7, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
