RENDERS: Maria Barbara (nee Matheeuwsen) - A resident of Chatham, Maria Renders died peacefully, surrounded by her family on Sunday, January 5, 2014. Born in Oirschot, The Netherlands, 94 years ago, Maria immigrated to the Chatham area in 1951. Daughter of the late Jacobus and Johanna (Smulders) Matheeuwsen. Beloved wife of 69 years to the late Frank Renders (2013). Loving mother of Jack & Laura Renders, Port Lambton; Henry & Margaret Renders, Chatham; Elma Renders, Chatham; Gerry & Luanne Renders, Chatham; Maria & Kim Dahl, Vancouver; Maggie & Pat Downey, Erieau; and the late Frank Renders Jr. (2000). Cherished grandmother of 19 and great grandmother of 17. Maria was the last surviving member of her family, predeceased by 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. with Vigil Prayers offered at 3:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ursula’s Roman Catholic Church, 205 Tweedsmuir Avenue West, at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 with Fr.
