Obituary of Jean Burnett

BURNETT, Jean A resident of Chatham, Jean Burnett, passed away peacefully at the London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at the age of 77. Born in Toronto, daughter of the late Raymond & Mary Gregg. Beloved wife of the late John Burnett (2000). Loving mother to Sean Burnett and his wife Leslie of Chatham. Mother-in-law to Marleah Burnett of Chatham. Grandmother to Derek Burnett, Jarrad Burnett, Matthew Cowley (Krystle), Amie Stoffyn (Chris). Great-grandmother to Angelica, Gabby, Darrien, Khara, Conner, Kendal, Lucas, Kerrigan. Sister to the late Anne Vanderhart (late Frank), and Ruth Skillen (Dick). Aunt to Gregory, Annette, Debbie, Michelle, Jenny, Katie. Jean was a Social Worker at Southwest Regional Centre, Catholic Family Services, Toronto, Tranquille Hospital Complex, B.C., and Rideau Regional Centre, Ottawa. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Gathering will take place at the McKinlay Reception Centre, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Donations in memory of Jean Burnett to the Friends of Stroke Foundation (payable to "New Beginnings") would be appreciated by the family.
