Obituary of Donald Gordon Hill

HILL: Donald Gordon – A resident of Ridgetown, Donald Hill passed away peacefully at the Village on the Ridge, Ridgetown on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the age of 82. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Don was the son of the late Gordon and Flora (Minhinnick) Hill. Beloved husband of 56 years to Muriel (nee Hunter). Loving father of Kathryn Hill of Ridgetown and David Hill (Carolyn) of Fergus. Proud grandfather of Tyler, Troy and Brooke Hill and Julia and Andrew Walker. Don was an active member at the Church of the Advent, and enjoyed his time volunteering with the Ridgetown Rotary Club, the Ridgetown Horticultural Society and at Hillsboro Cemetery. Don was a salesman with the D.H. Howden Company/Pro Hardware for over 30 years. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street E., Ridgetown on Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Church of the Advent, Church Street, Ridgetown at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2014 with Rev. John Maroney officiating. Cremation to follow with a private family interment to be held at Hillsboro Cemetery, Plympton-Wyoming at later date. Donations made in memory of Don to the Church of the Advent, the Ridgetown Rotary Club or the Hillsboro Cemetery Fund would be appreciated.
