Obituary of Catharine Elizabeth Dorsey

DORSEY: Catharine Elizabeth. A resident of Chatham, Catharine Dorsey died peacefully surrounded by her children on Sunday March 9, 2014. She was born in Howard Township, 85 years ago on August 2, 1928, beloved daughter of the late John A. & Laura (Taylor) Clark. Loving mother of Mark Dorsey & his wife Christina of Kitchener, and Laura Cole & her husband David of Salt Lake City, Utah. Cherished grandmother of Jason, Joel, Rachel & Shawn, Daniel, Kyle Sandra, Alex, and Erik. Proud great grandmother of Zachary and Dominic. Catharine was the last surviving member of her family, predeceased by her brothers Alex, Lloyd, and Ross, and sisters Christine Tuck and Marjorie Gilles. She was a graduate of the St. Joseph’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1949, and worked as an RN in Chatham and area until her retirement in 1997. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday from 3:00-5:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Friday March 14, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. Rev.
