Obituary of Richard Jerome Gentille

GENTILLE: Richard Jerome, Jr. – A resident of Ridgetown, Richard Gentille passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus, on Monday, March 31, 2014 at the age of 66. Born in Champaign, Illinois, Richard was the son of Richard Jerome Gentille, Sr. and the late Clara Mays. Loving husband of 22 years to Jane (nee Bowen). Dearly missed by his daughters Sarah-Jane Patterson of Toronto and Lorien Patterson of London. Dear brother to Janice Price (George) of Chatham. Son-in-law to Edwin “Ted” Bowen (Garlene) and the late Barbara Bowen (2006). Richard will be remembered by those who knew him as a life-long pursuer of truth, with a dry wit and a passion for reading. He was also an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Br. 628 in Chatham. As per Richard’s wishes, cremation has taken place with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
