Obituary of Peter Nestor Dierickse

Dierickse, Peter Nestor, a resident of Chatham. Peter Dierickse, devoted husband, father & grandfather, died Monday April 7, 2014 at the Meadow Park Nursing Home, Chatham at the age of 73. Born in Chatham, son of the late Peter & Maria Julia (D’Hondt) Dierickse. Beloved husband for 50 years of Barbara Ellen (Twigg) Dierickse. Dear father of Bradley (Patricia) Dierickse, Essex; Gregory (Heather) Dierickse, Shanghi, China and Andrew (Jie) Dierickse, Waterloo. Grandfather of Sarah, Evan, Madeleine, Benjamin, Amanda & Joshua. Dear brother of Annie Hartford; June (Vincent) Mailloux; Doris McGuire; and the late Leon (Shirley) Dierickse; Francis Dierickse; Celina (Frederick) French; Rose (Lorne) Foulis and baby sister Margaret Dierickse. Brother-in-law of Marie Dierickse and the late Charles Hartford & Patrick McGuire. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Peter was full of energy and love. He was always there to lend a helping hand, and devoted his life to support his family and friends. Peter retired from Overland TNT Transport, after 30 years of service. He very much enjoyed having coffee with the boys. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Thursday April 10, 2014 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
