Obituary of Robert William Moore

MOORE: Robert William A lifelong resident of Fletcher, Robert Moore died peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Tuesday April 8, 2014. He was born in Chatham, 93 years ago on October 5, 1920, son of the late Robert & Ida (Vince) Moore. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (Allison) Moore (1953) and Kathleen (Foster) Moore (1989). Much loved father of Al & Vera Moore of Charing Cross, Mary Moore of Fletcher, and Dianne Gleeson & Todd Dauphinais of Chatham. Cherished grandfather of Margaret & Allan Pym of Ilderton, Mark & Melissa Moore of Charing Cross, Josh Gleeson, Alex Gleeson, and Clarissa Gleeson, all of Chatham. Proud great grandfather of Allison, Rachel, Nathan, Mitchell, Trevor, Brittany, and Brandon. Dear brother of the late Sid & Marian Moore, Mavis Moore, and Marguerite & Mack McGregor. He will be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Robert was raised on the family farm, and remained there for his entire life. He was a proud family man, kind neighbour, and friend to many. He loved to follow the NHL, and was a loyal Toronto Maple Leaf fan. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service for Robert will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday April 11, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev.
