Obituary of Eileen Knights

KNIGHTS: Eileen (nee Johnston)– A lifelong resident of Blenheim and Mull, Eileen Knights passed away peacefully at the Blenheim Community Village on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 in her 102nd year. Born in Harwich Township, Eileen was the daughter of the late Watson and Margaret (Lenover) Johnston. Beloved wife of 59 years to the late Clarence Knights. Mother of John Knights (Sally) of Mull and Ann Morrison (Jack) of Chatham. Predeceased by her daughter Mary Sutherland (late Bill) and her son Bill ‘Stub’ Knights. Survived by her daughter-in-law Donna Knights. Proud grandmother of 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her sisters and brothers Vera Pickering Sinclair, Arthur Johnston, George Johnston, Gladys Cory and Lyle Johnston. Eileen was a lifelong member of the Ridge Community Church and had worked for many years at Giffin Grain. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and on Friday, April 25, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until the Memorial Service at 11:00a.m. with Rev. Wanda Burse officiating. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim. Donations made in memory of Eileen to the Ridge Community Church and the Chatham-Kent Hospice would be appreciated.
