Obituary of George F. Laurie

LAURIE: George F. A resident of Chatham, George Franklin Laurie died peacefully at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Wednesday April 16, 2014 at the age of 85. He was born in Ridgetown, son of the late George F. & Marjorie (Spencer) Laurie. Beloved husband of the late Norma (Faulkner) Laurie. (2010) Loving father of George Laurie (Marg), Linda Cunningham (Bud), Janice Brady (Terry), Cindy Laurie, Julie Laurie, Karen Lambier (Kelvin), Kevin Laurie (Carol), and the late Jeffrey Laurie (late Linda) (1999). Grandfather of 8, and several great grandchildren. Dear brother of Shirley Dawson, Jim Laurie (Jo-Ann), and the late Gordon Laurie. Fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Marie Laurie, as well as several nieces and nephews. George retired from Siemens in Chatham. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday April 23, 2014 from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. A Memorial Service will at the Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. with Rev.
