Bob Vander Gaag A lifelong resident of Chatham, Bob Vander Gaag was taken from us suddenly, on Saturday May 3, 2014. He was born in Chatham, 32 years ago on December 4, 1981, beloved son of Willem & Anje (Dekker) Vander Gaag. Loving husband and best friend of Sarah Vander Gaag. Proud and devoted father and “Daddy” to Owen, Maddox, Lealand, and Piper. Dear brother of Virginia (Dave) Vanmiddlekoop, Tim (Marcy), and Dan (Katherine). Bob will be lovingly remembered by Sarah’s family; her parents Leigh & Jen Brown; brothers Donnie Bowls (Stacy), and John Brown (Becky “Bunky”). He will be dearly missed by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as dear friends Drew & Denise, Gerard & Tanya, Pedro & Jodi, and Joe & Jen. Friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service for Bob will be held at Eben-Ezer Canadian Reformed Church, 483 McNaughton Avenue East, Chatham on Thursday May 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Arnold Cemetery, Louisville.
