Obituary of Alphonse Alois Verbruggen

Verbruggen, Alphonse Alois, a resident of Chatham. Alphonse Verbruggen died Tuesday May 6, 2014 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus at the age of 80. Born in Wallaceburg, son of the late August & Anna (VanLinden) Verbruggen. Beloved husband of Madelene Rose (Debaere) Verbruggen. Dear father of Christine (Dino) Amelia, Blenheim; and the late Dennis Verbruggen (1975). Alphonse was a member of the St. Agnes Council, Knights of Columbus and enjoyed playing cards at the legions. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agnes Catholic Church, Chatham on Wednesday May 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Daniel Bambardier celebrant. Cremation with interment in St. Anthony Cemetery, Chatham at a later date. Donations in memory of Alphonse to the CKHA Foundation would be appreciated.
