Obituary of Peter Allan Walker

WALKER, Peter, a resident of Chatham, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 76. Predeceased by his parents James & Gladys Walker. Beloved husband to Mary “Millie” Walker (Touesnard) for 40 years. Loving father of Shane & Markie Mark of Tilbury and Kara Walker (Joe) of Hamilton. Cherished grandfather of Jesse, Justin, Taya, Chelsie, Jacob & Carter. Cherished great-grandfather of Jessica. Dear brother of Mary, Doug, Wayne, June, Donna and the late John. Peter is survived by several nieces and nephews. Peter was an avid golfer and enjoyed teasing his family and friends. He was a long-time member of Ridgetown Golf & Country Club. Special thanks to the nurses and support staff of VON and Bayshore for their outstanding care. Also a special thank you to Dr. Ernst and his team at the Southwestern Cancer Clinic in London. Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with The Venerable Paul Millward officiating. Cremation is to take place. Donations in memory of Peter to Christ Anglican Church (Chatham) and the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
