Obituary of Marjorie 'Midge' Holmes

HOLMES: Marjorie Patricia ‘Midge’ (nee Latford) – A resident of Blenheim, Midge Holmes passed away at the Blenheim Community Village on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the age of 77. Born in Ingersoll on March 17, 1937, Midge was the daughter of the late Richard and Irene (Throke) Latford. Beloved wife of 54 years to Bill Holmes. Loving mother of Kevin Holmes (Holly) of Amherstburg and Terry Holmes (Amy) of Windsor. Proud grandmother to Joel (Rachel) and Jesse; Karli, Matthew, Brittany and Alyssa. Great-grandma to Elise. Dear sister to Doug Latford (Donna) of Chatham, Larry Latford (Joan) of London and Eric Latford (Donna) of Chatham. Sister-in-law to Gary Charbonneau of Chatham. Predeceased by her siblings Dorothy DeBaets (2003), Carl Latford (2001) and Valerie Charbonneau (2012). Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Midge was well known and loved by the community of Blenheim for the many years of service given to the hotel and restaurant business. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until the Funeral Service at 3:00p.m. with Rev. Bill Terris officiating. Cremation to follow with a private family interment to be held at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
