Obituary of Myrtle Marie Dawson

DAWSON: Myrtle Marie (nee Thorpe) – A resident of Windsor, and formerly of Blenheim, Myrtle Dawson passed away at Royal Oak Long Term Care on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the age of 97. Born in Chatham Township, Myrtle was the daughter of the late Levi and Maud (Martin) Thorpe. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Dawson (1977). Loving mother of Carol Peever (Doug) of Windsor and Rev. Martin Dawson (Nancy) of Montague, PEI. Dearly missed by her special girls Marylou Crewe, Marilyn Richmond (Gerald) and the late Marjorie Simpson. Predeceased by her infant daughter Beverly Jean. Proud grandmother of Scott Peever (Rachele) of Windsor, Brad Peever of Windsor, Kyle Peever (Lisa) of Calgary, AB and Grace Dawson of Montague, PEI. Great-grandmother to Alyssa, Dawson and Ashley. Dear sister to Mrs. Beatrice Pickering (late Pick), formerly of Blenheim. Predeceased by her sisters Betty Marsh, Mildred Wood, Nancy Wood, Ileen Wolfe and her brothers Walter, Bill, Joe, and Lorne Thorpe. Sister-in-law to Bertha Thorpe of Chatham. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 4, 2014 with Corey Hartford officiating. Committal Service will follow in the Chapel at Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
