LUCIO: Kenneth Frank Ken
A long-time resident of Cedar Springs, Ken Lucio passed away peacefully with his family at his side at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at the age of 80.
Born in Windsor, Ken was the son of the late Hector and Lena (McLean) Lucio.
Ken is survived by the mother of his children and friend Beatrice (nee Attewell).
Loving father of Brenda Lucio (Mike Sullivan) of Blenheim, Tracy Lucio of Dealtown and Tim Lucio (Anne-Marie) of Cedar Springs. Predeceased by his daughter Nancy Bran (2013). Father-in-law to Salvador Bran.
Proud grandfather of Christopher Kuiper of Brampton, Jenny Woodhouse (Ryan) of Newmarket, Amber Ogle of Chatham, Kevin Ogle of Blenheim, Julie Russell of Merlin, Michelle Laprise (Kenny) of Blenheim, Jaleesa Russell of Blenheim, and Olivia Snyder, Jewelya Hanov, and Ava Dawn Lucio, all of Cedar Springs.
Great-grandfather of Austin, Xzavier, Callie, Mackie, Jaxon, Jaycelyn and Emmitt.
Dear brother of Doug Lucio (Theresa). Predeceased by his siblings Nettie White, Henry Lucio, Evelyn Cummings, Terry Lucio and Albert Lucio. Brother-in-law to Joan Lucio, John Cummings, Marilyn Lucio and Gloria Lucio. Predeceased by brothers-in-law Ken White and Frank Decooman. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Ken worked at International Harvester for 26 years, as an Auctioneer for 30 years and was a successful businessman in Cedar Springs. He was a member of the Canadian Auctioneers Association. He played the drums, bass guitar, sang and played with many bands including The Country Drifters, The Jubilaires and the T House Trio.
He also enjoyed a good dance, and a good time, and took that positive energy to work where he hosted many an event at the Cedar Springs Banquet Hall. Ken took pride in the lavish gardens and meticulous lawns he tirelessly cared for.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Sunday from 3:00 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 2:00p.m. on Monday, July 7, 2014 with Rev. Bill Terris officiating. Interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
