Obituary of Stefan Skalecki

Skalecki, Stefan (Steve), a resident of Chatham. Stefan Skalecki passed away on Thursday September 4, 2014 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus at the age of 94. Born in the Ukraine, son of the late Lukacz & Anastazia (Kobak) Skalecki. He is survived by his wife Zofia (Mychaluk) Skalecki; stepdaughter Ivanka Juzkiw (Marian), stepson Miroslaw Mark Wajda; grandchildren Olen Olafson (Lane), Taras Juzkiw (Natalia), and Alexandra Juzkiw; great grandchildren, Elianna, Isabella, Ksenia, Daria and Melania. Steve moved to Chatham in 1973 where he became a custodian at the John N Given School, a job he thoroughly enjoyed. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Chatham on Tuesday September 9, 2014 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. The Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Eugene Halitsky of St. Vladimir and Olga Parish, Windsor officiating. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations in memory of Steve to a Charity of Choice would be appreciated.
