Obituary of Gordon Orville McCormick

McCORMICK: Gordon Orville – A lifelong resident of Erieau, Gord McCormick passed away peacefully at his residence on Monday, September 8, 2014 at the age of 82. Gord was the son of the late Orville and Viola (Phipps) McCormick. Beloved husband of 50 years to the late Kitty McCormick (2007). Loving father of Mark McCormick and Cindy Dubé (Michael) both of Erieau and the late Allen McCormick (2012). Proud grandfather of Wade Jackson-McCormick of Southhampton, Shane Dubé (Laura) of Erieau, Chandelle Boyes (Craig) of Chatham , Tyler Dubé (Marie) of Windsor and Kyle McCormick of Erieau. Great-grandfather to Liam and Deklyn Boyes. Gord was the last surviving member of his family. He was predeceased by his siblings Joan Mayville, Mary Lou Vidler, Janet Fitzgerald, Shirley Makra, Lyle McCormick, Carl McCormick and Ralph McCormick. Gord will be remembered for the loving and caring way he supported his family and friends. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2014 with Rev. Tim Joyce officiating. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
