Obituary of George Rouse

Rouse, George “Jerry” Reginald, a resident of Chatham. George “Jerry” Rouse died Monday September 29, 2014 at the Birkshire Care Centre, Windsor at the age of 83. Born in Chatham, son of the late Frank Reginald & Helen Jean (Chinnick) Rouse. Beloved husband of June D. (Lambe) Rouse. Dear father of Catherine (Jamie) Pritchard, Barrie; Dave Rouse, Washago; Janet (Scott Burk) Loveday, Blenheim; and the late James Rouse (2011). Father-in-law of Michele Rouse, Kanata. Grandfather of Matthew & T.K. Pritchard; Jordan Rouse; Jesse & Dalton Loveday; and Madison & Zoey Rouse. Brother of Raymond (Sharyn 2013) Rouse, Peterborough and the late Walter (Bonnie) Rouse. Brother-in-law of Jack (Annette) Lambe, Chatham; Diane (Bob) Blue, Chatham; Brian (Lyn) Gardiner, Chatham; and the late Linda Gardiner. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Thursday October 2, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. The Memorial Service will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Margaret Trapnell officiating. Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations in memory of Jerry to the Chatham Goodfellows, The Red Cross Society or the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
