Obituary of Peggy Howe

HOWE, Peggy Joyce – A resident of Chatham, Peggy passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at Copper Terrace Nursing Home in Chatham. Beloved wife of Philip Howe. Loving mother of Jeff (Christine) Howe of Eden, and Kevin (Paula) Howe of Barrie. Adoring grandmother of Steven, David, and Matthew Howe. Sister to Robert Burns (Heather) of Blenheim. Aunt to Erin Prangley and Brian Burns. An avid bowler, golfer, and shuffle board player, Peggy’s family will remember their many times together in Florida. Peggy goes to join her grandmother Ella McCoig, who raised her. Also her mother, Gwenolyn McCoig (1975) and Step Father George Burns (1988), her late brother-in-law Robert Howe, and her late sisters-in-law Mary Monds, Jaqueline Howe, and her late sister Suean Burns. Peggy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Chatham for 70 years. She will be greatly missed. Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 2:00–4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the McKinlay Funeral Home, Chatham, at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow. Burial at Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date.
