TABACEK: Irene - A resident of Ridgetown. Irene Tabacek passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday November 9, 2014 at the Village on the Ridge, Ridgetown at the age of 85. Born in Slovakia, daughter of the late Joseph & Anna (Chudada) Cherveny. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Rudolph Tabacek (1996). Dear mother of Sandra Tabacek, Ridgetown; Janis (Don) Brosseau, Chatham; and Susan Campbell, Woodstock. Grandmother of Matthew (Andrea); Bradley Brosseau; and great granddaughter Abigail. Sister of the late Sophie Kormandy; and John Cherveny. Irene was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Blenheim. She lived and farmed since 1954 on the same property on Kent Bridge Road. A Private family visitation was held at the Funeral Home, 76 Main St., E., Ridgetown. The Funeral Mass was celebrated on at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Blenheim. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim. Donations in memory of Irene to the Canadian Diabetes Association or a Charity of Choice would be appreciated.
