Obituary of Helen Menefy

Menefy, Helen (Misiura) On November 13, 2014, Helen, a resident of Chatham, passed away at the age of 90 years. She was predeceased by her husband Charles Menefy in 2001; also by her parents Paul and Annie Misiura of Saskatchewan; her brothers Nick, Mitch and Peter Missouri; her sisters Pearl Huculak, Marion Whitney, Connie Gordon, Laura Barger; and niece Karen Barger. She will be fondly remembered and is survived by her nieces and nephews: Marilyn Rosenfeld, Dalton Whitney, Linda Thiessen, Roxanne Young, David, Melvin and Heather Missouri. Helen was an altar guild member for many years, at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Chatham. She was an avid reader and gardener, and also really enjoyed golfing, music and dancing, and playing bridge. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday November 16th, 2014 from 2-4pm. The funeral service will also be held at the funeral home on Monday November 17th, 2014 at 11am with Venerable Paul Millward officiating, and interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. Donations in memory of Helen may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, and can be arranged through the funeral home.
