Obituary of M. Louise Summerfield

SUMMERFIELD: M. Louise (nee Russell) – A resident of R.R. # 1 Charing Cross, Louise Summerfield passed away at her residence on Friday, November 14, 2014 at the age of 85. Born in Harwich Township, Louise was the daughter of the late Alexander and Pearl Marguerite (Stover) Russell. Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Ray W. Summerfield (June, 2014). Loving mother to Wesley Summerfield of Chatham, Kathy Summerfield of Blenheim, Terry Summerfield and his wife Barbara of Windsor, and the late Alexander Summerfield (1992). Grandmother to Aaron, Jasmine, Melissa, Bradley, Nick, Alyssa, Corey, and step-grandmother of Michael and Daniel. Great-grandmother to 12 great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Marie and John Whittington of R.R.#1, Charing Cross, and the late June Petcoff and husband Peter. Sister-in-law of Boyd Summerfield of Blenheim, and the late Don Summerfield, and Cleeve Summerfield. Louise was an active member of the Charing Cross UCW and a member of the Kent Klodhoppers. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim on Tuesday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Charing Cross United Church, 8561 Middle Line, at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 with Rev. Dr. Margaret Trapnell officiating. Interment to follow at Pardoville, Union Cemetery.
