Obituary of Catherine Veronica Ford

FORD, Catherine Veronica Longtime resident of Ridgetown, peacefully on Saturday, November 22nd at The Village on the Ridge at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Francis Ford (2004). Loving mother to Marilyn Ford-Gilboe and her husband Steve Gilboe of London, Ontario, and John Ford and Vicky Ford of Ridgetown. Cherished grandmother of Kristen Dehaw (Nick), Katie Ford (Chad Bourgeois) and Kyle Ford (Vanessa Green), all of Ridgetown and Sarah and Matthew Gilboe of London. She will be missed by her 5 great grandchildren, Lidiah and Kiylah Boothe, Driah Dehaw, Paisley and Bentley Bourgeois of Ridgetown and 15 nieces and nephews. Survived by her brother Joseph O’Connor (Fran) of Windsor. Predeceased by her parents, Rose and Francis O’Connor; 5 brothers, Jimmy, Johnny, Francis, Charles, and Paul O’Connor (Doris) of Simcoe and 2 sisters, Mary Horak (Frank) of Blenheim and Carol (Norm) Taber of Huntsville. Catherine worked for many years at the Ridgetown Post Office. She was a member of Ridgetown I.O.D.E.. She will be fondly remembered for her infectious laugh and giving spirit. The Ford Family will receive friends at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Tuesday, November 25th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 26th at 11am. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkwood Hospital Traumatic Brain Injury Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society.
